The work “La petite mort” is part of a photographic series that explores the vanitas motifs of the Baroque period and transposes them into a modern context. It is only at second glance that elements are revealed that would certainly not have been found in the old masterpieces. Anal plug and skull enter into a symbiotic relationship here: sexuality as the little death, the experience of dissolution that brings people closer to their transience.
