the free class cordially invites you to:
“Make a Salad” FLUXUS IN ACTION
The paper will present some crucial aspects of Fluxus, its historical genealogy, introduce some protagonists (like George Maciunas, George Brecht, Alison Knowles, Dick Higgins, Ben Patterson, Ben Vautier, Eric Andersen, Tomas Schmit, Mieko Shiomi, Milan Knížák) and will then focus on Fluxus compositions and performances. Questions to be discussed are:
What are the special qualities of the Fluxus score?
In how far does Fluxus differ from other genres of action art?
Is Fluxus really about participation?
What about Fluxus today?
Can or should Fluxus be re-enacted?
