Brochures of the ÖH Federal Representation
The Federal Representation of the Austrian National Union of Students (ÖH) offers a range of brochures designed to make life easier for students, e.g. on the topics of residence law, maintenance law, studying with children, employment, etc. You can find a selection of these brochures in front of our office.
This brochure was produced in cooperation with the Queer:Feminism department. The declared aim of the project was to develop strategies that help to recognize the gender diversity of people at universities – and beyond. By analytically breaking down the gender binary, “Non-Binary Universities” does not want to create a contradiction to the advancement of women, but – on the contrary – better reflect the social reality of gender(s) and initiate a discourse to reduce possible gender discrimination.
trans-, inter:, non-binary. Designing teaching and learning spaces at the university
This brochure was produced in collaboration with the Queer:Feminism department. The aim of the brochure is to create teaching and learning spaces for people of all genders that are respectful, anti-discriminatory and emancipatory. To this end, marginalizing and restrictive gender norms and power relations must be criticized and changed. Inter:, trans and non-binary people experience specific barriers and mechanisms of exclusion at universities. In order for these to be dismantled, university staff must recognize these barriers. Transphobic, inter*phobic and cissexist discrimination is often invisible to those not affected.
